"And the king will say to them in reply, 'Amen, I say to you,
whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me"
(Matthew 25:40).

Some of the elderly are waiting to receive their portions
of the 2008 Christmas Smiles Foods.

This past Christmas of 2008, we received about $2,000 from the parishioners of St. Ambrose in Annandale, Virginia.
We were able to purchase 200 portions of  foods for 200 families in Nghe An, North Vietnam for Christmas.
Though each portion was $10 worth of foods, the people were deeply grateful,
because we care enough to reach them from this part of the world.

Each portion of foods includes:

25 lbs. of rice
1 box of 30 instant packages of noodle
1 bag of sugar
1 jar of cooking oil
1 jar of fish sauce
1 box of cookies

Fr. Joseph Linh Dinh Nguyen, Pastor of Phi Loc Catholic Church in Nghe An,

THANK YOU to our priests and to the St. Ambrose parishioners
whose prayers and generosity
help us reach out to God's poor half a globe away in Vietnam.
Thank you for helping us
share the JOY of CHRISTMAS with them!

2007 Christmas Smiles
In December of 2007 we were able to distribute
300 portions of Christmas Smiles Foods
to 300 poor families living in Binh Thuan Province, which lies southeast of Saigon,
thanks to our benefactors who generously shared their blessings with these families!
See pictures below.

This will be the first time they receive
such a large portion of foods to celebrate Christmas.

Bishop Paul Nguyen Thanh Hoan and
Fr. Mathew Nguyen Khac Hy (visiting from the US)
are helping the Sisters distribute Christmas Smiles foods to a grateful recipient!
Bishop Paul says, "This year Christmas gifts are much bigger than the previous years."
Can she carry all of them home?  Yes she can, and yes she will.

Fr. Joseph Tran (visiting from the US) is helping Sr. Duyen
